360 - Falling & Flying
Radio listeners will already be familiar with the hit single Just Got Started,
which features Triple J favourite Pez and rides atop a supremely funky Whitest
Boy Alive sample. Others will have caught 360 live with Pez and Maya Jupiter recently
on the national Change It For The Better tour, or perhaps befriended the tattooed
wunderkind on Facebook (he has 40,000+ fans!).
After announcing
his partnership with Soulmate/EMI in mid-2010, and leaking album track The Take
Off (currently sitting on 100k+ views on YouTube) to his growing legion of fans,
360 is a former underground emcee now sitting on top of the world. Now with new
single Throw It Away (featuring alt-folk hero Josh Pyke) currently burning up
indie and commercial radio, his upcoming album Falling & Flying looks set
to be a juggernaut when it hits stores on September 30th. The single is available
as an iTunes bundle with the previously mentioned album track The Take Off included.
Meanwhile
the provocative video for the track has been released online, last week being
voted as Channel V's Ripe Clip of the Week (for the second time this year!) and
featured on the YouTube homepage. The video sees office workers fighting over
patented 'Sixty' dollar bills... while 360 throws them all away!
360
also co-host Channel V's Most Requested show this week, going to air yesterday,
Monday 4th July. Tune in to Channel V to see repeats throughout the week of the
local rapper fielding questions about his upcoming new album Falling and Flying.
Having
toured with Bliss n Eso and Drapht and worked with M-Phazes & Pez - teaming
up in the group Forthwrite - 360 has spent nearly a decade in Melbourne's hip-hop
scene as one of Australia's finest underground battle MC's. In 2008 he teamed
up with another Melbourne based MC, Pez, and featured on his single The Festival
Song, which was voted number 7 on Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2008.
'Falling
& Flying' is available now.
