FITNESS GOES FUN AT THE AUSTRALIAN FITNESS &
HEALTH EXPO
The latest fitness gadgets, clothing
and celebrities will come together on April 15, 16 & 17 for the 2011 Australian
Fitness and Health Expo - the largest gathering of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
Held
at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Expo will include the latest
and greatest from the top fitness brands, including Garmin, 2XU, Adidas, Lorna
Jane, Musashi and Zumba, with plenty to keep you fit and allow you to have fun
while doing it.
Exhibition Director Jon Perry said the Australian
Fitness and Health Expo was a rare opportunity to see the latest products before
they go mainstream and people would be surprised at the new focus on high-tech
fitness and fun exercise options.
"You've probably heard
of pilates but what about cardiolates? And did you know there are sweatbands with
built-in earphones and weight scales that connect to your iPhone?
"If
you're environmentally conscious then perhaps it's time for a fully recyclable,
biodegradable yoga mat or if you're into swimming, there are new waterproof timing
watches from Speedo that fit over the end of your finger."
There'll
also be an opportunity to meet and even compete against some celebrity sports
people.
You can arm wrestle Australia's strongest man Derek
Boyer, race against track cyclist Anna Meares, workout with the Sydney Swans,
meet Michelle Bridges, pose a question to Australian professional boxer and the
current IBO cruiserweight champion Daniel Green or get an autograph from the creator
of Zumba, Beto, who will visit Australia for the very first time.
A
few Guinness World Records could also be broken, with local Sydney strongman Marcus
Bondi attempting four different strength challenges.
So if
you're training towards an important goal, if the gym is your second home or even
if you're looking for some motivation and inspiration to get your fitness regime
started, head to the fitness industry's number one event and explore the latest
gear and gadgets.
The expo is open only to those in the fitness/health
trade on Friday April 15, with general and trade admission on Saturday April 16
and Sunday April 17. The expo is open from 10am - 6pm on Friday and 9.30am - 5pm
