ZETA BARSCHOOL Conducted by some of the world's leading mixologists, the Zeta Belvedere Barschool is the superlative in cocktail making classes and a great way to have some fun! Stir and create cocktails with Grant Collins, Mark Tarrant and Matt Siely at one of Sydney's most luxurious bars. Starting with an introduction to the more commonly used bar tools, the class goes on to explain why fresh ingredients are best, how to balance and measure ingredients, how to layer a shot, and some trivia/history of the cocktail - I.e. Where does the martini come from? Why is it called a cocktail? After learning the art of cocktail making step-by-step, participants sample the drinks and create the recipes themselves. The class is finished up with a friendly competition where the group is split into smaller teams and each is given a mixture of ingredients to make their own creative cocktails. The winner walks away with a full size bottle of Belvedere Vodka, while everyone who attends gets a miniature bottle of Belvedere Vodka and some tasty recipes to take home. All guests of the Zeta Belvedere Bar School are treated to complimentary canapes half way through the two hour course, which costs $95 per person and takes place by appointment only at Zeta, Hilton Sydney (Level 4/488 George Street, Sydney). Ideal for entertaining clients, hen's or buck's nights, staff parties, or bonding initiatives, Zeta Belvedere Bar School caters for groups of 10 to 100, smaller parties can also book to do the course as part of a combined group.
