Includes 21 episodes plus previously unseen footageAs seen on ABCTV 'Beached Az' began as an online animation called 'Beached Whale', the story of a hapless whale beached on the shores of New Zealand. When a curious seagull investigates what has happened to the whale a meaningless, but hilarious conversation between the two begins. Their surreal conversation is the first of many often pointless, but always-comical conversations with the passing parade of wildlife that comes across the whale including a thrifty eyed hermit crab, easily excited snail and loads more. The original 'Beached Az' clip was created in April 2008 and posted on the internet where it quickly received over 3 million views and became the subject for a plethora of tribute clips. The eleven one minute clips screened on ABCTV in September 2009. A second series was commissioned by the ABC and screened in 2010. 'Beached Az: The Complete Az Collection' contains all 21 episodes from Series One and Series Two including some seafaring Barnacles desperate to get back in the ocean; a nudity-embracing Sea Slug; a home-swapping Hermit Crab; Koalas with a sensitivity to being called "bears"; a Pelican with some artistic insanity; a pair of Goats with medical opinions; two blind, break-dancing Clams in self-denial; and a Walrus with a coconut for a best friend. In Series Two the whale is presented with an opportunity to return to the sea, but will his newfound friends convince him to stay ashore?
