Mary Tobin Presents...
BULMERS BEST OF THE
EDINBURGH FEST
The iconic show returns to the
2011 Sydney Comedy Festivla and is an unbeatable night of world class comedy where
you get 3 of the best UK acts for the price of one.
Tom Allen
is a "
wonderfully laconic anecdotalist and rare talent
".
He's a winner of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny (UK) and BBC New Comedy
Awards and his career continues to go from strength to strength. He has performed
at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Queer Up North in Manchester, Glasgow
and Leicester Comedy Festivals, London's Soho Theatre, New York's Upright Citizens
Brigade and has had his own show at Edinburgh Fringe for the past three years.
"Rocked
by the rhythm of a saint....catch him now and you'll be able to tell people how
you saw him before he was famous" Daily Telegraph
Carl
Donnelly is "Truly hysterical
A flair for sharply observational humour
and a superb delivery" Fest Magazine. Since starting stand-up in 2005 and
Carl has quickly established himself, climbing the comedy ladder. He was a nominee
of the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and recently appeared on Comedy Central's
Edinburgh & Beyond, and Comedy Store Live. Despite being a relative newcomer,
his conversational style and silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of
awards and become a regular act and MC at clubs all over the OK.
"The
reason why Donnelly is one of the highest-rated emerging stars on the UK circuit
is his incredible ability to turn the seemingly mundane existence of the 21st-century
slacker into gripping, unmissable stand-up" The Guardian
Seann
Walsh is one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. Seann has impressed
critics, promoters, judges and audiences around the country with his assured delivery
and self-depreciating silliness. Seann has a genuine buzz about him and has that
spark, that exciting unquantifiable quality that makes audiences and critics sit
up and take notice. He's also the winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of
the Year (2009) and the 2009 Chortle "Best Newcomer Award". Seann recently
appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy TV Roadshow.
"Walsh
is this generation's Dylan Moran, with the looks, gags and charm to become something
quite special" Time Out
Bulmers Best of the Edinburgh
Festival has been the vehicle for introducing some of the hottest comedic talents
in the world to Australian audiences - think Ross Noble, Arj Barker, Stephen Amos,
Dylan Moran, Eddie Ifft and more. So there's no excuse - get along & see the
