Following the success of Cassie Davis's hit
singles 'Like It Loud' and 'Differently', the multi-talented singer, songwriter
and producer's highly anticipated third single 'Do it Again' was recently recognised
as the #1 most added track to radio, by industry source, The Music Network in
its first week of release. 'Do It Again' is lifted from Cassie's recently released
debut album 'Differently'. Cassie has worked with some of the industry's most
respected songwriters including Wayne Wilkins (Beyonce, Kylie, Natasha Bedingfield,
Pink).
'Do it Again' is an upbeat pop track influenced by traditional Ghanaian
rhythms mixed with a strong bass line and powerful, chugging, guitars.
Davis
said of her third single: "'Do It Again' is a very rhythmic based track with
lots of energy - the song is about being lost in the music. My childhood friend
is Ghanaian and their tradition Hip Life music is the foundation and inspiration
for this track so this song holds a special meaning."
Since Cassie
first emerged on the Australian music scene, the country has embraced her hard-hitting
rock-pop tunes and her infectious new talents. To date, 'Like It Loud' has surpassed
gold status and garnered over 700,000 hits on video-sharing website YouTube. 'Differently'
has similarly made a strong impact. The song, which featured international artist
Travis McCoy, was the most added track to radio in its first week of release.
Cassie performed the track earlier this year at the State of Origin in front of
a crowd of 80,000 people and appeared on top rating television show 'Talkin' Bout
Your Generation'.
The release of 'Do It Again' comes off the back of a
successful songwriting stint in LA where Cassie was requested to work with a number
of major international songwriters. Most recently Cassie penned Warren G's comeback
track 'Swagga Rich' which features herself and Snoop Dogg as guest vocalists.
