Australia's
iconic indigenous entertainer, Christine Anu has announced a special concert An
Evening with Christine Anu to coincide with the release of her brand new single
Come Home. An Evening with Christine Anu will be held at NOTES, 75 Enmore Road,
Newtown on Wednesday, 29 September 2010. The concert marks Anu's return to the
music-stage after a series of successful seasons and sell out shows through Australia
and South Korea of the hit musical The Sapphires, presented by Company B Belvoir
and Black Swan State Theatre Company.
"I am so excited to be back
on stage performing my own music. The Sapphires was an amazing and truly rewarding
experience, but nothing beats getting up on stage performing your own material."
says Anu. An Evening with Christine Anu will see Anu perform a stunning collection
of songs from a career spanning nearly twenty years, including her signature tunes
- Party, Sunshine On A Rainy Day, Jump To Love and Island Home.
For this
special concert experience, Anu will be supported by her The Sapphires co-star,
Casey Donovan and the soulful Emma Donovan. Both of these incredible artists will
perform their own individual sets. The concert will be topped off by a special
performance by the Australian Girls Choir, who Anu has worked alongside over the
years.
