COME TOGETHER
2010
For the past six years Luna Park Sydney
has been proud to host Come Together. The simple philosophy of showcasing up and
coming Australian talent, and providing them with a platform to experience the
dynamics of a festival experience has been one which has been maintained in the
seventh installment over this June long weekend in 2010.
Since its inception,
Come Together has seen performances from The Presets, Sarah Blasko, Little Birdy
and Midnight Juggernauts in 2005, Something with Numbers and The Panics in 2006
and more recently Birds of Tokyo and Bluejuice in 2008, before they became festival
fixtures. The line-up's though have also been balanced with some of Australia's
heavy hitters with a smattering of International's also making an appearance.
You Am I, Strung Out, Regurgitator, Augie March, Bliss n Eso, Against Me! and
The Living End have all provided headline performances to provide appropriate
finales to a big day, or weekend of music's latest and greatest.
With
two rolling stages and mostly 30 minute sets (headliners excluded) ensuring short
and punchy showcases with less fillers, the entertainment is seamless and non-stop,
with over 15 acts on each day to keep the punters pre-occupied. 2010 continues
to grow with this years installment bigger than ever with Grinspoon, Gyroscope,
The Butterfly Effect and Frenzal Rhomb, all firing up their amps, alongside Bertie
Blackman, British India, Kisschasy and Jonathon Boulet, plus a host of others.
Located Harbour side at Luna Park Sydney, Come Together features the unique
ability to incorporate the rides and atmosphere of Sydney's most iconic amusement
park into the Come Together experience. Which other event can you take a break
between bands with dodgem cars and roller coasters?? With rides included in the
ticket price Come Together is one of the best value for money events on offer.
Come Together is also an All Ages event, continuing its philosophy of nurturing
and developing the scene and enabling music fans of all ages to experience the
energy, excitement and passion that have made Come Together one of the best ways
to spend the June long weekend.
