Like
Common, Kid Capri has enjoyed his position in Hip Hop as one of the most recognizable
and successful players in the Hip Hop game. Currently, there is no DJ in the world
more recognizable to both Hip Hop heads and the general public than Kid Capri.
He became extremely popular with the general market as resident DJ on Russell
Simmons ' Def Comedy Jam on HBO, where he gave the world a taste of live performance
Hip Hop as the first DJ to ever perform live DJ routines on TV. From there, Kid
Capri became the most heavily demanded DJ by most of the industry's most respected
entertainers, touring with artists such as Sean P. Diddy Coombs, LL Cool J, Nas,
Lil Kim, Jay-Z, Usher, R. Kelly, Mary J Blige, and
Trey Songz.
The impact
Kid Capri has made around the world as a DJ is unreachable by any other. There
is a steady increase in demand for Kid by many of the industry's top performers
as he continues to tour and sellout shows in 10,000 seat arenas. When he's not
touring around the world, Kid is personally requested to spin at parties for Playboy,
MTV Music Awards, BET Awards, VH1's Hip Hop Honors, socialite Khloe Kardashian
and her husband Lamar Odem of the LA Lakers, Martha Stewart, Justin Timberlake,
Ludacris, and many other A-List celebrities.
In addition to his DJ dominance,
Kid has made his mark in the production world. He has produced hits for power
players such as Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Slick Rick, Mary J. Blige, and Jermaine
