EPICURE
HIT THE ROAD
Epicure will be hitting the road on their Sick Hearts
Parade Tour in September to coincide with the release of Sick Hearts Parade as
the third single from the band's acclaimed Postcards From A Ghost album. They
have a show at The Vanguard on Saturday September 12, with guests Special Patrol,
Ranger Spacey and Dave Anderson also appearing. Tickets are on sale now from the
venue.
Sick Hearts Parade sees frontman Juan Alban produce his customary
intelligent lyrics and vivid imagery, writing from the perspective of a character
who is unable to bounce back from heartbreak. The song, with its warm bluesy guitar
tones further underlines Epicure's winning excursion into alt - country / Americana
infused music.
Epicure's 5th album, Postcards... delivered in spades the
flawlessly crafted, sonically gorgeous and beautifully melancholic songs Epicure
fans have become accustomed to, and also saw the band write the best songs of
their career so far.
Epicure will feature tracks from the album in their
set, with show goers also treated to songs from their entire back catalogue as
well as some new material, which they'll begin recording for their next album
in October. As a bonus, Epicure will be releasing a limited edition live EP recorded
during their recent residency at Melbourne's Northcote Social Club - available
only at shows.
This may be your last chance to see Epicure live for a while,
so get along and see the boys before they go to ground to begin work on the new
record.
