The quartet who have sold in excess of 12-million units
worldwide have just issued their 'best of' collection. The compilation
features Garbage hits such as 'Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go)', 'Why Do You
Love Me', 'I Think I'm Paranoid', and 'When I Grow Up' as well as fan
favourites such as 'I Think I'm Paranoid', 'Only Happy When It Rains',
'Vow' and 'Queer'. Recorded especially for inclusion on 'Absolute Garbage',
the lead track 'Tell Me Where It Hurts' has Garbage's inimitable hallmarks
of an epic hook and Shirley Manson's soaring vocal style. 'Tell Me Where
It Hurts' was the # 2 Most Added song in its first week at radio.
Led by the iconic figure of Shirley Manson and completed by Duke
Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig, Garbage have enjoyed phenomenal
success with albums such as 'Garbage' (1995), 'Version 2.0' (1998),
'Beautiful Garbage' (2001) and 'Bleed Like Me' (2005).
In Australia, Garbage have sold over half a million albums with all
four releases reaching the Top 5 in the ARIA charts.
Garbage have also forged a reputation as one of the strongest live
bands around having toured with U2 and Alanis Morissette to name but
a few. Performances at the Big Day Out, along with several sell-out
tours, have established Garbage as one of the favourites on the Australian
touring circuit.
'Absolute Garbage' is also available as a special limited edition
containing a bonus disc of remixes by some of the worlds most renowned
DJs, including U.N.K.L.E., Massive Attack, Todd Terry, Crystal Method,
