After
years of planning
the "Godskitchen Boombox" concept is now revealed
as a unique architectural, multimedia, visual and music event concept.
Following
on from its hugely successful debut in the Ukraine, which saw the attendance of
15,000 fans, the "Godskitchen Boombox" will be making its way to Sydney
and Melbourne where Australian fans will be able to experience this unique structure.
This extraordinary production is a must-see and will be landing in Sydney with
trance music's elite DJ's Cosmic Gate, Blank & Jones, John 00 Fleming and
Tiesto's live vocalist JES.
This colossal rectangular structure will house
the state-of-the-art DJ equipment. It will also act as a giant screen from which
an astounding combination of lighting and visuals can be projected in perfect
synchronization with the music.
The Godskitchen Boombox is the brainchild
of '1024' the people behind Exyzt, the Parisian based design collective who are
pioneers of structural projection and responsible for numerous art and cultural
design installations across Europe. At over 16 meters wide, 8 meters high and
6 meters deep the structure combines next generation technology whilst marrying
architecture with art.

COSMIC GATE BIOGRAPHY
Over 10 boundary-pushing
years, Nic Chagall and Bossi have evolved Cosmic Gate into one of the most creative
and highly-sought-after electronic music acts in the world. Revered uber-producers,
their musical acumen has seen them become long-term favourites of the trance's
Big 5 DJs with their 3 hugely-received albums transporting anthems like 'Body
of Conflict', 'I Feel Wonderful', 'Analog Feel', or the classics 'Exploration
of Space' and Fire Wire to the dancefloor. As DJs, their kinetic, blood-pumping
live performances are seen by hundreds of thousands of club and festival goers
annually. Playing a 100 nights every year, it's this ever-visible club presence
that saw them reach their highest position to-date on the DJ Mag Top 100, landing
at No.62 in 2008.
Following a chance meeting at a label office in Cologne
in late 1998, the pair collaborated for the first time. It's a production partnership
that has become one of the dance world's most successful and memorable. In their
homeland of Germany, they've maintained a consistent level of chart success, with
no fewer than 7 Top 40 singles to their name and a Top 10 hit in the UK in 2001,
with the quintessential club hit, Fire Wire. Drawing on a broad-range of their
individual musical tastes and influences, they've continued to advance and enhance
the sound
Following up the long-players 'Rhythm & Drums' and 'No More
Sleep', in 2006 they released 'Earth Mover', which saw a seismic shift towards
a more melodic and electronically orientated music. Including the club hits 'Analog
Feel', 'Should Have Known' and 'I Feel Wonderful', the long-player was IDMA nominated
for Best Album of 2007 and was latterly seen as a new 'year one' for Cosmic Gate.
Deck-side
Nic and Bossi have whipped floors into frenzies all the way around the world.
In 2008 they played Tiësto's now-famous Monday nighter at Privilege in Ibiza,
rocked roofs at the Judgement Sunday nights and decisively broke into the US and
Australian clubbing scenes through a string of sell-out tours. They appeared in
the DJ Magazine's list of Top 100 spinners for 6 years now and are regular festival
attraction, spinning at events like Trance Energy and Mysteryland in The Netherlands,
Summadayze in Australia, Germany's Nature One and Stateside at Nocturnal. In early
2009 they are set to roadblock the Freedom Festival with Tiësto in Malaysia
and Sunrise in Poland.
Back2Back, Cosmic Gate's on-going compilation series
was devised as the at-home testament to the pair's club-rocking exploits. 2007
saw the release of the 3rd volume through Tiësto's Black Hole label. The
compilations bring the evocative mix of trance, progressive and electro and stands
apart through their use of numerous at-the-time unreleased productions and unique
Cosmic Gate edits.
Over their production lifetime, the Cosmic Gate remixes
have become almost as fêted as their productions. Essentially a blow by
blow of trance music's A-list, Nic and Bossi lent their studio know-how to productions
by the likes of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond's
OceanLab project, Rank 1 and Blank & Jones. Most recently they rewired Deadmau5's
'Clockwork' to devastating effect and created two highly-praised remixes of 'Vincent
De Moor - Fly Away' and 'Veracocha - Carte Blanche'.
In 2009 Nic and Bossi
have just released their fourth studio album 'Sign of the Times', which contains
11 floor-monsters-in-waiting, last year's vocal anthem 'Body of Conflict' and
the latest smash single 'Not Enough Time', which in the words of Tiësto is
"a great and solid vocal trancer that touches all your musical senses!"
And in the broader scale on 'Sign of the Times' Armin van Buuren says "The
new Cosmic Gate album is one of the most anticipated releases of this year. They
are on the forefront of the dance music sound of the moment
Bring on 2009!"

BLANK
& JONES BIOGRAPHY
Seven artist albums and 15 hit singles. That says
it all. Piet Blank and Jaspa Jones have been hugely important in the history of
electronic music. It all started in 1997 with their debut single Sunrise, the
first step towards producing their own tracks. Nowadays, one cannot imagine the
electronic elite without BLANK & JONES. 13 of their singles made it into the
German Top 50, and three into the Top 20. Each and every album hit the Top 50,
including two which climbed into the Top 10. They also scored a spectacular triple
whammy by occupying the Top Ten album, singles and compilation charts simultaneously
with Substance, Desire and The Mix respectively.
BLANK & JONES
have teamed up with a number of top international stars in their career to date.
The Cure mastermind Robert Smith, Anne Clark, Sarah McLachlan and Claudia Brücken
(Propaganda) have been immortalized on BLANK & JONES tracks, giving them a
certain credibility way beyond the boundaries of dance music. Further evidence
of their versatility can be seen in their contributions to the Café del
Mar compilation series and their own chill-out albums, Relax and Relax (Edition
2). Next up, the people behind the Buddha Bar series have also made enquiries..
The
release of the A Forest single and the accompanying album Monument in the USA
last year also laid the foundations for BLANK & JONES to create a solid fanbase
across the Atlantic.
Seven albums, 3 mix albums (The Mix 1-3) and 15 singles
later, BLANK & JONES and their longstanding production collegue Andy Kaufhold
have chosen this moment to collate their finest material on one release - The
Singles. Comprising the best tracks and greatest successes of BLANK & JONES
plus two brand new tracks, recorded exclusively for this album. "We felt
the time had come to put all our singles together on one CD, " Piet and Jaspa
explain. "We prefer to see it as one step along the way, rather than a mere
retrospective. A litlle breather before we move on to pastures new."
Over
20 tracks were in the reckoning for The Singles collection, most of them penned
by BLANK & JONES themselves. From the first single Sunrise via chart smashes
such as Desire, DJ Culture and Beyond Time all the way to entrancing collaborations
with the like of Elles DeGraaf on Mind Of The Wonderful, Claudia Brücken
on Unknown Treasure and Steve Kilbey (The Church) on Revealed, the album is packed
with original material. One of the few covers is, of course, A Forest with Robert
Smith of The Cure on vocals.
An absolute must for fans is the all new WMC
Retouch version of Nightfly, direct from the Miami Winter Music Conference (WMC),
where BLANK & JONES headlined in March of this year. So new, the track was
hot to the touch as it made its way onto the album, having been premiered to rave
reactions at the dance convention. BLANK & JONES' Nightfly WMC Retouch was
the talk of the town the following morning on various online sites and blogs.
The
album also features two completely new tracks. One is Somebody and the other is
Catch, the newest single, based on Kosheen's 1998 tune. Vocals supplied once again
by the fantastic Elles DeGraaf.

JES
BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in the city that never sleeps, JES realized
from an early age that singing was her passion and life's dream. To immerse herself,
she began working in NYC studios helping out, and then actually writing and doing
sessions. JES honed her craft and her genuinely unique vocal style there. Later
while recording in a Los Angeles studio, JES met and teamed up with Mike Olson
to form Guardians of the Earth. Releasing songs like "Starchildren"
and "One Moon Circling", GOTE gained popularity on MP3.com. Paul Van
Dyk soon took notice of this talented duo and put "Starchildren" on
his smash hit Politics of Dancing series.
Through the success of that CD,
JES began to collaborate with more big-time DJ's like D:fuse and Deepsky, producing
many more hits including "Living The Dream" and "Talk Like A Stranger".
JES then teamed up with Gabriel and Dresden to form Motorcycle resulting in the
Billboard #1 Dance Smash "As The Rush Comes", which went on to top charts
all over the world and even earned JES a spot on the renowned British television
show "Top Of The Pops" alongside Beyonce and Maroon 5.
Soon after
she caught the eye of the biggest superstar DJ in the world, Tiesto. JES's music
has been incorporated into Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise series 4,5,6, and 7 albums.
And together, Tiesto and JES wrote the hit "Everything" for the much-celebrated
Grammy nominated Elements Of Life album.
In spring 2007, Disconnect was
released. Her first single "Ghost" hit radio worldwide and has been
licensed to many popular Dance compilations since. Her next single "Heaven",
with its music video, shot entirely in her hometown of NYC, showcased the more
edgy, Rock side of JES's sound. To help promote the new album, JES joined Tiesto
opening for his massive 2007 Elements of Life World Tour.
In March during
the famed Miami Winter Music Conference, JES was nominated for two International
Dance Music Awards for Best Progressive House/Trance Track -"Ghost"
and Best Alternative/Rock Dance Track - "Heaven". JES also took first
place in the same years International Songwriters Competition for the song "Ghost".
Jes
has recently released her long awaited third single, "Imagination",
with powerhouse remixes from Tiesto, Kaskade, and Michael Moog. "Imagination"
showcases the celestial voice and lyrics that have made JES one of the most sought
after vocalists and songwriters in Electronic Dance Music today. www.myspace.com/planetjes
