Instant RockStar - Making Plastic Sexy AgainAs of July 1st 2009, Instant RockStar will release the first of a continued range of 100% recycled plastic tubs.IRS will be using 100% post industrial waste recycled plastic in it's 50ml and 100ml tubs - #5 PP - Polypropylene plastic and new Beach Rock packaging will be complete in 100% recycled #2 HD-PE - High Density Polyethylene.Instant RockStar is working to reduce its environmental impact with the introduction of recycled packaging , adoption of recycled paper and cardboard and 100% renewable Green Power now running through Instant RockStar HQ (Office & Warehouse) in Port Melbourne.Director, Margie Ardono says, "It is about being responsible and raising awareness to our marketplace. We recognise the impact any business makes on our environment and the influence we have over consumers and hope to promote and encourage a shift in attitude towards more ethical buying and becoming a change maker in the world."This is no Green Wash. Our company and brand take responsibility for introducing plastic waste (both virgin and 100% recycled) into the community and through this scheme we hope to take a large step towards a close-the-loop philosophy.Our long term strategy, developed in consultation with both Sustainability Victoria and Visy when stripped down to its core is to basically do more good than harm.
