JET first burst onto the scene with a self-released EP Dirty Sweet
back in 2003 and went on to score the honour of the coveted opening slot for the
Rolling Stones' Australian tour. The band went on to release the critically acclaimed
album 'Get Born' which included the smash hit single "Are You Gonna Be My
Girl". The unforgettable track was featured in the second ever iTunes advertisement
and the album reached sales of 4 million worldwide.
Proving themselves as
one of Australia's most prominent and finest live rock acts, JET will turn up
their amps and bring down the house at Paddington Uniting Church when they play
tracks from their latest album 'Shaka Rock' including the smash hits "She's
A Genius" and "Black Hearts (On Fire)". It will be the biggest
show yet - the perfect end for the successful series before the band takes a much-earned
break!
"It's exciting to be back playing at home for all of our friends
and supporters. Performing at Live At The Chapel will be a highlight in our time
in Australia along with our shows with Green Day, our headline gigs in Sydney
and Melbourne and our appearance at Big Day Out in January," said Nic Cester.
mcm media Chief Executive, Mr Simon Joyce, said today, "We are wrapped
to have JET join the Chapel lineup for the final show of the year - an extraordinary
act for what has been an amazing series. We're looking forward to more Kia Soul
Live At The Chapel in the new year!".
