Ever wondered why music and wine, two of life’s greatest pleasures, are defined by notes? In a unique and sumptuous quest, Wayne Stehbens winemaker at Katnook Estate will celebrate the release of the 30th vintage of Katnook’s iconic Cabernet Sauvignon, in an intimate night of matching classical Katnook’s Estate aromas and flavours with the soulful strains of operettas sung by Opera Australia’s Luke Gabeddy…in a heady wine and music match. The liquid taste and flavour of operetta and Katnook.
Notes in wine open senses. Notes in music generate characters genres and colours. Hosted by ABC Classic FM’s Damien Beaumont, guests will gaze over Sydney Harbour from the majesty of the Sydney Opera House’s Utzon room. Only after the music is matched with the wine – comes the food. A three course menu including canapés has been specially created by celebrity chef Matt Moran–ARIA- for this once-only evening.
