Leichhardt Long Lunch
Sunday, 4 June is a good day to rock’n’roll over to Leichhardt to join family and friends for a Long Lunch at the Leichhardt Town Hall and adjoining outdoor area.
Settle in at long communal tables to enjoy your favourite food from the many and varied food and wine stalls. Your feet will be ‘tapping’ and your knees will be ‘knocking’ to great rock-‘n’-roll music by roving entertainers. A great day out with friends and family being entertained by the talented dancers from ‘All about Swing’ and join in the dancing to the ‘Drey Rollan Band’.
It all comes together for a terrific Inner West community day with lots of dancing, fun and laughter for the little kids and the big kids as everyone gets into the spirit of this rock’n’roll celebration.
To make this a memorable day, local artisans and businesses will showcase Inner West produce and the Royal Hotel Leichhardt will feature ‘Beers of the Inner West’. Tempt your taste buds with Five Dock’s Akasha Brewing; Young Henry’s Newton; Marrickville’s Batch Brewing; and Camperdown’s Marrickville and Wayward Brewery. Also on tap will be the newly released Goose Island – Midway Session IPA from Chicago and a range from Matilda Bay Brewing.
Entry is free for this ‘must-be-there’ special event brought to you by the Leichhardt and Annandale Business Chamber, supported by Inner West Council and organised by Impact Exhibitions and Events – the team behind the Norton Street Italian Festa. Festa 2017 in October will be the 31st year for Festa – one of Australia’s largest street festivals attracting more than 140,000 visitors.
