NAY NAY: Hey Hey Let’s Play

NAY NAY: Hey Hey Let’s Play

Nay Nay (Naomi Young) is gutsy, adventurous, and loves to laugh. She is currently a presenter at ABC Kids, is the puppeteer for the adorable “Hootabelle” on Giggle and Hoot and has worked on Nickelodeon (host) and with The Wiggles as assistant choreographer and dancer.

With her signature goggles and big chunky boots, Nay Nay loves to ‘tinker’ and create things, tell stories, and has a D.I.Y style. Her debut album ‘Hey Hey Let’s Play’ features tracks like My Brother Ate My Lego”, “Rain Stomp”, “Maybe Tomorrow”, and “Bubble Pop”. The album has a fresh musical sound, full of adventurous energy that brings imaginative stories to life through music.

The album was produced by Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Andy Bull, Tim Finn) and features songs co-written by Nay Nay and Scotty Aplin (Musical Director The Voice), Terry Mann (Giggle Galaxy, Straya) Fergus Brown, (Nerds In Love, Make It), Achoo! Bless You (Hoot Hoot, It’s a Lovely Day!) producer Jhay Cabrera (Guy Sebastian) and many more.

And there’s no cheesy synth sounds here. Recorded at the famous Albert’s Australia recording studio, Nay Nay and a live band worked to create a sound that is both full and completely musical, and undeniably playful. Every song has been created with the intention of being loved by kids and appreciated by parents.

With a background in education, Naomi graduated with a BA Media and Cultural Studies and Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary English & Drama) and she received Runner Up Most Outstanding New Teacher awarded by the NSW Teachers Guild. She founded The Project – Schools Industry Arts – an initiative that collaborated with schools and arts industry professionals to push the boundaries of arts educations programs in schools.

Naomi has been working in children’s television and theatre for 15 years and is passionate about creating content that empowers kids. She also loves seeing the world anew through the eyes of her two young daughters (5 & 3 years).
