Saigon Lane opens its doors

Saigon Lane opens its doors

This Summer, you won’t even need to leave Sydney to get a taste of Bali’s famous Saigon Street restaurant as its cheeky little brother, Saigon Lane, opens its doors at several locations.

Under the experienced direction of respected restaurateur, Aki Kotzamichalis, Co-Founder of the Bali institution, Ku De Ta, Saigon Lane will put its unique and playful twist on Sydney’s Vietnamese culinary culture with an authentic menu created under the expert direction of local favourite, Phil Davenport, Ku De Ta’s head chef for seven years, as well as many of Saigon Street’s famous signature dishes created by Geoff Lindsay.

Saigon Lane has taken over the license and venues previously held by Miss Chu, integrating the popular Sydney eateries into the Saigon family of establishments. Saigon Lane comprises of two restaurants, Bondi and Glebe, and offers food lovers an eclectic mix of Vietnamese-fusion, light and healthy sharing dishes that have made Saigon Street a ‘place to see and be seen’, whilst also retaining some of the flavourful Miss Chu favourites that regulars know and love. Saigon Lane ‘Tuck Shops’ will also open in the heart of the CBD and Darlinghurst to cater for customers looking for food on the go.

The menu features a range of Saigon Street’s signature dishes, including Green Rice Fried Tiger Prawns and Vietnamese Chicken Coleslaw Salad with Roasted Peanuts, while the restaurants’ bars will also tempt taste buds with expertly crafted cocktails, including two signature cocktails on tap, under the guidance of Grant Collins, founder of Barsolutions .

Saigon Lane will also operate its own delivery service, with scooters delivering to homes across Sydney, rewarding loyal repeat customers with free dishes. Similar to its big brother, Saigon Lane’s unforgettable urban surroundings have been uniquely styled by the man behind some of Australia’s most recognisable restaurants, including Pink Salt and Casablanca, interior designer Alex Zabotto-Bentley.

Saigon Lane takes its playful inspiration from its vibrant orange colour palette and neon twists that will leave diners feeling like they have been transported to the unmistakable atmosphere of downtown Saigon.

Saigon Lane locations include:

Bondi: 178 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach NSW 2026
Glebe Point Road: 199 Glebe Point Rd, Glebe NSW 2037
Darlinghurst: 150 Bourke St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010
