As seen on ABC2, this unique
comedy sketch show sees children lampoon the world of adults in this comedy first
featuring a host of rising stars - Bugsy Malone is back and it's charming, audacious
and genuinely groundbreaking.
Characters include Connie the
right-wing bar maid with a relaxed attitude towards customer service, a 1930s
husband oblivious to his wife's lesbian affair, an estate agent with some very
weird houses to sell, a gallery attendant with a pervy attitude to paintings and
a cabbie who seems to have met just about everybody, knows just about everything
and has an opinion on all of it. Not to mention a filthy, profane receptionist,
School of Comedy's take on Hollywood and a doctor who is lacking in some essential
skills.
Feelgood, risqué and a touch surreal, School
of Comedy reinvents the good old fashioned sketch show, just with little people.
Expect bad behaviour, naughty language, song and dance and lots of laughs.
The
original School of Comedy stage show was taken to the Edinburgh fringe festival
and received such rave reviews that Channel 4 commissioned a Comedy Lab pilot
with Left Bank Pictures. C4's Comedy Labs look to unearth the stars of tomorrow
showcasing pilots of experimental comedy and after a successful pilot, a full
series of School of Comedy was commissioned.
School of Comedy
features a cast of teenagers including Will Poulter, the young actor who shot
to fame in Garth Jennings' hit comedy Son Of Rambow.
'School
of Comedy' is available now.
