Author, Natalia Ravida heralds from the renowned Ravida family, and she has inherited her love of food and olive oil from her Sicilian ancestors. The recipes are unique, with many of them coming from the family farm at La Gurra, an estate rich in olives, grapes, fruit trees, wild herbs, vegetables and pastures. Today La Gurra produces some of the world's finest olive oils, used in many of the upmarket restaurants around the world.ABOUT THE AUTHORNatalia Ravida Spatafora was born in Trento, north eastern Italy, and was mainly educated at the British school (St. George's) and later the American College (John Cabot) in Rome. She has undertaken a successful career as a print, radio and television journalist around Europe, but since 1991 she promotes RAVIDA Extra Virgin Olive Oil. A love for food inherited from her family and many years abroad cooking meals for friends between news-stories are at the source of her quest to record her favorite Sicilian dishes in 'Seasons of Sicily'.
