Sydney's iconic skyline adopted a new look at Motorola's
SLVR City function on 29 March as some of its most prominent buildings
were morphed into monumental versions of Motorola's own iconic handset,
the SLVR.
Motorola's latest 'must have' mobile device was shown
larger than life as a series of huge projections transformed Sydney's
landmark Circular Quay skyscrapers. The phenomenon, which has already
been a huge hit in London, Berlin, Paris and Chicago, made an inspirational
statement demonstrating Motorola's evolving design philosophy of sleek
and slim. The SLVR is the latest addition to Motorola's thinness platform,
delivering powerful functions and strong style statements in a model
that is definitely the new superwaif of the mobile catwalk.
Andrew Volard, Managing Director, Motorola Mobile Devices
Australia said, "SLVR City allows consumers to experience the SLVR
profile in a unique and highly sophisticated way sharing the handset's
immaculate design and intuitive features. With over 160,000 vehicles
crossing the Harbour Bridge each day and countless numbers in foot and
water traffic, we expect a large number of Sydneysiders to enjoy this
temporary facelift to Sydney's Cityscape. We hope that people will be
encouraged to head in store and realise just how affordable a style-statement
the SLVR is!"
To celebrate this landmark event, Motorola hosted an exclusive
VIP event at the Museum of Contemporary Art located at the famous quay-side
Rocks. Guests were entertained by local group Martini Club, sipped cocktails
and dined from one of the best vantage points to observe the transformation.
Members of the public were also able to witness the city's new look
from a range of locations including Circular Quay, Kirribilli, the harbour
bridge and surrounding areas.
"Motorola is very passionate about creating the most
innovative handset designs that allow a more sophisticated style of
mobile expression for it customers. SLVR City celebrates this and highlights
Motorola's pioneering approach to deliver new experiences through exciting
marketing campaigns," continued Mr Volard.
