Alan (Brian Gleeson), is an indifferent employee killing time as a tourist advisor at Dublin Airport.
Recently left at the altar and fired from his bank job, his life much like the planes that circle the traffic control tower at the airport he works, is in a holding pattern. He lives with his parents and works with his mum, who sends him anonymous Valentine’s Day cards. Something has got to give. But when Alice, (Jessica Pare from Mad Men), the girl who got away is waiting on standby to return home to New York he gets one last shot at redemption.
She was Alan’s first love and despite promising to return to the United States eight years prior he never made the trip. A catch-up beer soon turns into a pub crawl that lasts a night they’ll never forget.
