Tara Jane is just weeks from making her first International debut at the Miami Swim week, weeks after just finishing her uni semester.
TJ Swim, the Sydney-based contemporary swimwear line founded by Tara Jane at just 21, is branching out into her first international debut. Her latest Spring/Summer 19 Collection, will debut at Miami Swim week on the 15th of July at the luxury resort The Setai with Australian fashion agency Fashion Palette.
Tara Jane, now 23, says “Participating in Miami Swim Week has always been a goal of mine so I’m very proud and excited to be given the opportunity to represent Australia and be a part of the internationally recognised event”. TJ Swim has a huge online following and is loved by many international celebrities such as Natalie Halcro, Chrissy Teigen and Olivia Pierson.
The young designer believes that there are a few rules to follow when it comes to buying the perfect bikini
“My advice is go for quality over quantity, as a consumer I was stuck in a vicious cycle of purchasing bikini after bikini each season! Investing in a high-quality suit that you know you’ll feel confident and comfortable in is definitely the best option!”
Tara also believes that social media and influencer marketing has allowed her to connect with and reach her customers directly to find out what they want in a bikini, how to design her collections and most importantly what improvements should be made. “After talking to our customers, we found that there was a need for an extra size within our range. So we are really excited to announce that we have now expanded our size range to cater to even more amazing women” Says Tara. She aims to empower women to feel strong, sexy and confident whilst wear the TJ Swim collections.
The Spring/Summer 19’ collection is inspired by the contemporary, neoteric woman and features new styles with luxe, ultramodern vibes. “Our new figure flattering styles were designed for the strong, forward-thinking young woman who isn’t afraid to show some skin”
TJ Swim’s SS19 collection features neutral, earthy tones with a hint of femininity “We’ve chosen to work with earthy pinks, purples and reds as well as our go-to blacks and whites. This palette is quite edgy yet feminine”.
