PASSPORT DISCOUNT CARD LAUNCHES TO HELP
BUSINESSES AND CONSUMERS DURING TOUGH
ECONOMIC TIMES
The answer to the state's economic woes
may be over with the help of a soon to be launched discount card to promote local
businesses and discounted products and services to consumers and tourists across
New South Wales.
The Turtle Passport is a discount card that consumers
or travellers can use to save money from 100 service providers, including shops,
restaurants, entertainment, hotels, health and beauty treatments, and other service
providers across NSW.
Set to make heavy inroads into the market,
the discount card provides unlimited access to hundreds of discounts and specials
across the state, with discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 50 per cent off.
Users simply show the Turtle Passport Card and save at any of the various venues
offering discounts.
Rhonda Macadie, Director of Turtle Passport,
developed the concept and has signed up many high profile companies, including
Budget Car Rentals, Mercure Sydney, Australian Reptile Park and Captain Cook Cruises.
Speaking of the venture, Rhonda said, "Now more than
ever, I believe that local businesses can lead the NSW economy out of its current
economic problems. Turtle Passport will encourage consumers to shop local again
and the discount card will encourage them by offering real value for money.
"The
Turtle Passport will spark economic activity to businesses and services, including
tourist attractions, hotels, tour operators, bars and restaurants in NSW, and
we are expecting a surge in the number of consumers taking up discount offers,"
she added.
The cost of the discount passport is a bargain,
with the family card for two adults and two children at the cost of $50, or a
single passport for $30. Card holders need not carry around a book of vouchers,
but simply present the one card at any of the 100 outlets offering Turtle Passport
discounts, which is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Users
of the discount passport can look up what new discounts are added to the card
by simply visiting the website www.turtlepassport.com.au,
and are notified of any new discounts from suppliers via and email newsletter.
