Twentysomething: Season 2

Twentysomething: Season 2

As seen on ABC 2, ACCTA Award nominee for Best Television Comedy TWENTYSOMETHING ended season one with Jess (Jess Harris) and Josh (Josh Schmidt) throwing caution to the wind and leaving for a big overseas trip, but the real adventures start in this new season, when they return home and discover the holiday is over and everyone has moved on. Josh’s brother Nick and his wife Fiona are new parents, close friend Abby has a full time job and worst of all Jess’ on again, off again boyfriend Billy (Hamish Blake Hamish & Andy’s Caravan of Courage) has found a girlfriend who will actually commit.

With the reality of thirtysomething looming and Jess not being able to pull off wearing pigtails anymore, this season sees the best friends search for not just a band-aid approach to life of get-rich-quick schemes, but finally asking “what are they destined to do?” The pair open up to options they may have overlooked too quickly in their early twenties, like studying, manual labour, fame, volunteer work and love. Jess and Josh’s energetic approach to everyday life is what creates the outrageous and unique twentysomething moments. Broken limbs, broken hearts, robberies, insurance scams and at home courtroom dramas all create hilarious bumps in the road to self-discovery. The heart of TWENTYSOMETHING is about two best friends’ quest to stay young and fun together.

Season two is also full of exciting new faces; we meet JESS’ DAD (Glenn Robbins – Kath & Kim), a hard working, straight talking tradie with a big heart and a plethora of tricks up his sleeve. With a third room to fill, Jess and Josh go on a search for the perfect house mate and find DAN (Luke Wallace), an extremely good looking musician to decorate the house. Jess gets a visit from her overseas fling CHRIS (Clayton Watson – Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War), an unpredictable party pig with whom she shares train wreck chemistry.

Special Features: Behind the scenes making of plus 6 extra scenes of Jess and Josh’s European adventure.
