Since opening its first store in Annandale, Sydney in 2001 Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar’s mission has been to create premium, gourmet pizzas in a market driven by convenience and value. Now with a footprint of over 130 outlets across Australia, Crust is upping the ante on flavour to reaffirm its position at the top of the gourmet pizza market.

Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar has added four new pizzas to its Upper Crust range, inspired by current Australian food trends and drawing on South American inspirations. Made up of Crust’s premium pizzas, the Upper Crust range has featured on the menu since 2008.

Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar Managing Director Michael Rose said the concept behind the Upper Crust range was to provide gourmet pizza customers with a dining option for special occasions.

“The best thing about pizza is convenience. Pizza can be picked up or delivered right into your most special occasions, and is easily shared with friends and family,” said Mr Rose.

“The Upper Crust range offers that same convenience, but with the added bonus of delicious flavour combinations and premium ingredients – it’s the perfect option for those who want to create an exceptional but easy shared experience at home.”

Pulled Pork & Slaw

Australia is engaged in a love affair with American cooking, and Crust is celebrating the South American food trend with this pizza that heroes pulled pork. This pizza features twice cooked shredded pork and caramelised onions topped with fresh pear, Vietnamese slaw and garlic aioli on a barbeque base.

Black Bean Burrito

Strike up the mariachi band because this pizza will have your mouth singing. Black bean casserole, roasted capsicum, jalapenos and caramelised onions have been topped with a fresh avocado salsa on a spicy tomato salsa base in this tribute to Mexican cuisine.

BLT with Avocado Salsa

Crust has stepped up the stakes on the café staple BLT sandwich by transferring the key ingredients to a pizza and giving them a gourmet twist. Baby spinach is layered with fresh tomato and twice cooked bacon, then topped with a fresh avocado salsa, garlic aioli, cracked pepper and sea salt.

Salt & Pepper Calamari

Casting their net wide to find a seafood sensation fit for a pizza, Crust reeled in the popular salt and pepper calamari. This delicious pizza is worthy of the captain of any ship; with dusted calamari, roasted capsicum, shallots and toasted pine nuts topped with pesto aioli and finished with a squeeze of lemon.
