The
streets of Sydney Olympic Park will ignite over three days for the Sydney Telstra
500 as V8 Supercars' best drivers push the limits at the season's final battle
from December 3 to December 5.
Last year's bumper event crowd is sure to
be smashed on Saturday night at ANZ Stadium when screaming fans are welcomed to
the jungle by one of rock's most renowned front men Axl Rose. Global rock legends
Guns N' Roses will join the high octane charged V8 Supercar Championship Series
for a one-off East Coast concert at New South Wales' premier sporting and entertainment
event, the Sydney Telstra 500.
2010 is set to deliver even more excitement
and explosive action both on and off the track with 'Master of Skate' Tony Hawk
adding another layer of excitement to the Greatest Show on Wheels. Hawk will be
performing four heart-stopping shows to showcase his signature moves as part of
the action-packed V8 Supercar Championship grand final.
Skate master Hawk
had already heard about the Sydney Telstra 500 before deciding to perform at the
event.
"I can't wait to skate the Monster Vert Ramp as part of the
Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercar race at Sydney Olympic Park. It is one of the biggest
ramps in the world and its unique design makes for great demo skating. I can't
wait to get back there in December!" Hawk said.
Racegoers can expect
a family friendly experience with a festival atmosphere and all the drama and
excitement of a motor race. Kids 12 and under receive free entry with a VIK coupon
from the Sunday Telegraph and a paying adult across the three-day event.
Tickets
can be purchased through Ticketek and prices range from just $91 for a Saturday
only ticket including an entire day of action and the Saturday night concert at
ANZ Stadium, or a three day pass from just $156, representing incredible value
for money. The concert is FREE with any Saturday ticket.
