Royal Randwick will host Cox Plate Day for the passionate sporting fans on Saturday 22 October 2016.
Racegoers will enjoy an action packed day of live racing on the track while enjoying all of the action from Melbourne, including the Group 1 Cox Plate at Moonee Valley, televised across the venue.
The gourmet food options will be aplenty with the famous Bearded Bakers bringing their pop-up Knafeh Bakery to the track, a must-see for all racegoers.
Sydney’s latest on course food destination, The Mews by delicious. will be available to patrons visiting Royal Randwick through to Melbourne Cup Day on 1 November. Highlighting providores from the four delicious Produce Awards categories; earth, paddock, sea and dairy. Sydney Rock Oysters, treacle BBQ pork rolls and fish tacos are the perfect complement to a trackside day of racing.
The party vibes will continue throughout the day with none other than musical act The Potbelleez performing live. The three piece Irish-Australian music group will be hitting the stage after the last race as part of the Sydney Spring Carnival Concert Series.
The Bucket List has returned for its second year and will once again bring the best of its iconic Bondi Beach venue to the track. Located on the Leger Lawn, the marquee will showcase some of chef Tom Walton’s favourite beachside fare as well as an atmosphere like no other on course with guest DJs performing throughout the day.
