Sydney’s favourite island dining destination, Fort Denison Restaurant, has announced the return this summer of Sunday Sunset Sessions – a drinks, dining and music experience with the best views in Sydney – on from November until at least the end of January.
Kicking off Sunday November 6th, water taxis departing Circular Quay will transport diners to the famous fortress island where a tour through the historic buildings is included.
Visitors will sit down to enjoy a 2 course à la carte menu including choices such as kingfish carpaccio or lamb short ribs with pomegranate and mint and mains of crispy skin Humpty Doo Barramundi, roast Hunter Valley pork belly, Wagyu beef cheeks or Muscovy duck breasts. Diners can add indulgent desserts or selections from the superb sunset cocktail menu to accompany their experience.
As the sun sets behind the Sydney Opera House across a glittering harbour, the live entertainment commences of the foredeck of the Fort. Local resident DJ and saxophonist Zak Hameiri returns to open the season, cooling down the balmy Sydney summer evenings performing his acid jazz and old school R&B in the background. Zak has featured at the Ivy and Casablanca Bar in Sydney.
Fort Denison has been named in the top five waterfront restaurants in the world, alongside Club Del Doge in Venice and River Café in New York.
Bookings are essential with tickets priced at $105 per person. Tickets include a two-course meal (Entrée and Main), chartered return water taxi, National Parks entry fee and mini tour of the Martello Tower.WHAT: Fort Denison Summer Sunset Sessions
