Duracell Fire Safety
Only working smoke alarms save lives – change your smoke alarm battery this April.
For the fifteenth year running Duracell and Australia’s fire and emergency services are banning together to urge all Australians to change their smoke alarm battery when they turn back their clocks for Daylight savings on Sunday, April 5.
The 2015 Duracell Fire Safety Study has revealed that while 97% of Australians say they would not get in a car with someone who is over the legal blood alcohol limit, 95% would not run a red light while driving, and 92% would not run across train tracks, most are prepared to neglect their household smoke alarms by not complying with recommendations from fire and emergency services.
When it comes to protecting you and your family, smoke alarms provide an essential early warning and time to evacuate safely – but only if they work. Duracell recommends using long-lasting Duracell 9V Ultra (RRP$6.79) alkaline batteries to ensure year round protection.
