The brainchild of award-winning businesswoman, Diem Fuggersberger, Coco & Lucas caters to junior foodies.

Inspired by the need to find convenient, cost effective and nutritious meals for her daughter Coco – a fussy eater, and her nephew Lucas – who has multiple food allergies, Diem Fuggersberger recognised a gap in the ready-to-heat market and felt a responsibility to help mothers in similar positions.

Before launching to the public, Diem spent years perfecting her commercial kitchen and investing in her own research. Coco & Lucas was born and became the first to branch into the “junior foodie” market – creating nutritiously balanced, ready-to-heat meals with no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours for 3 to 12-year-olds.

The Coco & Lucas Junior Foodies range includes Beef Cottage Pie, Mild Butter Chicken and Basmati Rice and Spaghetti Bolognese.

After learning about the environmental impact of meat agriculture, Diem changed the Coco & Lucas business model and launched ‘Earth’ – a plant-based ready-to-eat range featuring vegan alternatives of Australia’s favourite family dishes such as spaghetti and cottage pie, that offer optimal nutrition with a fraction of the environmental impact while not compromising on taste.

Surprisingly, her transformation in ideology to a 60 per cent plant-based brand comes with a twist, as Diem grew up as a butcher’s daughter!

With sustainability at her company’s core, she encourages eating holistically with a balance between plant-based and meat eating and is set on building a legacy around creating food that is “better for you and better for the planet.”

Since introducing the Earth range in 2019, Diem is continuously investing in research and development in ground-breaking new products. These innovations in perfecting the taste, texture and smell of plant-based proteins work to make it a viable meat alternative.

The Earth range includes myriad plant-based protein snacks such as Chickenless Crumbed Bites, Chickenless Money Bags, Beefless Curry Puffs, Porkless Spring Rolls and Chickenless Cheese Balls. It also includes many plant-based meals-for-one and a ‘cook n create’ range.
