Vivid Sydney 2015
Vivid Sydney is set to shine even more brightly in 2015 when the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas delivers its biggest program yet. For 18 nights, from 22 May – 8 June, Vivid Sydney will once again transform the city and harbour.
The 2015 program includes expansion into new city precincts Chatswood and Central Park, its biggest ever music program including Australian exclusives such as The Hoodoo Gurus at the Powerhouse Museum and Daniel Johns’ international solo debut at the Sydney Opera House, and heavy-hitting speakers at Vivid Ideas.
VIVID LIGHT
Sydney will be transformed into a night time playground for small and big kids alike with over 60 new, interactive installations and projections. New precincts, including Chatswood and Central Park, as well as expanded offerings at Pyrmont & The Star and The University of Sydney, will see Vivid Sydney’s light shine further into the city and its suburbs.
VIVID MUSIC
Vivid Music explores the coolest new artistic collaborations, the hottest genres, and the breakthrough names in music and performance. Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House once again celebrates the best current and future musical leaders, while the Seymour Centre is featuring an expanded New Wave Sound program of experimental music, and Carriageworks returns with crowd favourite: Modulations.
VIVID IDEAS
Vivid Ideas will celebrate innovation, creativity and community and will see makers, thinkers, innovators and businesses connecting with passionate fans and consumers of creativity. People will learn how to build a creative career or a business, hear advice from the best in the world, and discover how innovative productions and projects become reality.
