Yo-Chi collaboration with Queen of Chocolate, Kirsten Tibballs

Yo-Chi collaboration with Queen of Chocolate, Kirsten Tibballs

Yo-Chi, Australia’s fastest-growing and most popular frozen yogurt brand, has announced its final Chef Collaboration for 2022 – and it’s a truly sweet one. Yo-Chi is excited to collaborate with one of Australia’s most celebrated and globally recognised pastry chefs and chocolatiers, Kirsten Tibballs, who has designed a bespoke topping that offers a unique take on an Aussie classic.

Available in all Yo-Chi stores throughout December until stocks run out, Kirsten’s limited-edition topping is a heavenly chocolate lamington with chocolate sponge and hints of jam. Named the official Queen of Chocolate by former MasterChef judge George Calombaris, Kirsten has created a topping that is sure to be a hit this festive season, pairing perfectly with Yo-Chi’s coconut or strawberry frozen yogurts (or both)!

Kirsten’s light and fluffy lamington sponge dipped in decadent chocolate and coconut is simply delicious, and a nod to the traditions of an Australian festive season. The topping will arrive just in time for the holidays, making Yo-Chi the perfect frozen treat after beach days and in between Christmas shopping runs.

Kirsten Tibballs is a household name, famous for her guest judge appearances on MasterChef Australia and the aptly titled TV show The Chocolate Queen. Not only is Kirsten renowned in Australia, but she has represented Australia at multiple international competitions such as the Pastry Olympics and World Pastry Team Championships, plus she has won the accolade of best handmade chocolates in the world. Kirsten’s passion for the industry has seen her open the Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School in Brunswick Melbourne, where she offers students an opportunity to learn from the best.

Kirsten’s collaboration with Yo-Chi is part of a series of chef collaborations that have seen toppings selling out multiple times due to their popularity. Previous collaborations include Anna Polyviou’s baked vanilla cheesecake; Darren Purchese created a rich red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting; and Pierrick Boyer kicked the series off with a delicious salted caramel mud cake.

Alongside the last instalment of the 2022 chef collaboration series, Yo-Chi will be welcoming two more stores to its stable of stores over the summer break. West Australians will finally get a taste of Yo-Chi with the first opening of its store in Perth in December, whilst Sydney can celebrate the opening of a second location in Newtown in early 2023. The upcoming openings follow a series of openings in the past few months where overwhelming demand has seen stores launch in Broadbeach, Brisbane, Noosa, Brighton, and Chapel St in Melbourne.

Famous for its authentic, natural frozen yogurt flavours and a buffet of mix-and-match toppings, Yo-Chi has gained a massive cult following with the sell-out chef collaboration series. With a wide range of flavours including vegan and gluten-free options, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Yo-Chi. A brand-new pistachio flavour and a rotation of seasonal flavours such as mango and coconut have also been rolled out in time for summer, giving Aussies even more reasons to Share the Chi.

Kirsten Tibballs’ Lamington topping will be available in all Yo-Chi stores during the month of December (2022). For store locations, visit www.yochi.com.au
