The enticing open-air bar and kitchen is open all day, from Monday to Saturday – ready to serve up lunch on the run, a long boozy afternoon wining and dining, or a bevvy of late night cocktails and bar snacks. The menu is fresh and delicious and experiments with the best of Australian seasonal ingredients.
Treading a fine line between a pub, restaurant and bar, you’ll find staples such as a Classic Cheeseburger or Herb-Crumbed Chicken Schnitzel at the top of the list of things to try. For something a little more exciting, you can feast on creative classics such as the Southern Prime Sirloin, snack on moreish Marinated Olives and zesty Tequila Cured Salmon, or whisk your taste buds to South America with Cabana’s feisty tacos. The crispy Beer Battered Barramundi Tacos are an absolute highlight full of deliciousness and showered with cabbage chipotle mayo and lime. Scrumptious!
The menu actually offers a number of share-plate options designed for group nights out. There’s Seasonal Oysters, addictive Zucchini Blossoms, tasty Fried Squid and Cheese boards dotted with fruit paste, chutney grapes and finished with crispy lavosh. For something more substantial, you cannot go past the Blue Swimmer Crab Spaghetti. Rich with deliciously fresh flavours including crab, tomatoes, chilli, herbs and breadcrumbs, this one will take your tastebuds on a journey. Or try our favourite – the Pan Seared Tasmanian Salmon. Flavoured with cashew coconut curry, bok choy and beansprouts, it’s simply perfection on a plate!
To wash it all down, you’ll be spoiled for choice with Cabana Bar’s exotic cocktail collection. Guarantee yourself a hot night out with a Coco Cabana-Rita, an aromatic mix of 1800 Coconut Tequila, Joseph Catron Coconut and lime, then cool it down with a Cabana Tai’m – a house mai tai of Pampero Blanco rum, Cointreau, lime, pineapple, orange and bitters.
