Working class couple Otto and Anna Quangel (Brendan Gleeson and Emma Thompson) receive the news that their only son has been killed on the battlefield.
They decide to resist the Nazi regime in their very own way, risking everything to try and turn the tide on German support for the cause.
The war drama film was directed by Vincent Perez and based on the international bestseller Every Man Dies Alone by Hans Fallada. The film stars Emma Thompson and Brendan Gleeson as a couple who engage in an act of anti-Nazi resistance in 1940s Berlin.
