Bake Bar, Paddington
One of Sydney’s best bakeries has expanded further into the ritzy eastern suburbs. Bake Bar has opened its doors in Paddington and houses all of Bake Bar’s renowned and legendary artisan breads, pastries, cakes and menu items.
Paddington was a natural selection with the upscale neighbourhood boasting streets full of character and home to young professionals and families. The historic and polished suburb is ready for a shake up, because there’s new bakers in town.
Specialising in gluten-free, charcoal and artisan sourdough breads, pastries, cakes and menu items, Bake Bar is a favourite across Sydney’s east with established stores in Double Bay, Rose Bay, Randwick and Darlinghurst.
A great place for a Sunday brunch, you will find a multitude of options on the menu including brekkie rolls, eggs, breakfast bowls and lite brekkie delights such as Sautéed Mushrooms or our favourite, Avocado & Cherry Tomato Bruschetta. You can’t go wrong with this one with its delicious mix of smashed avocado, cherry tomato, feta cheese, kalamata olive, za’atar and lemon wedges. Add a side of eggs and you have an insta-worthy hit.
Another standout on the menu is their Shakshuka. The Balkan Shakshuka is our top pick featuring Mediterranean style eggs baked in their homemade tomato salsa, aubergine, feta cheese, olive, herbs and spices served with toast. Simple, healthy and loaded with flavour. Absolutely delectable.
Wash it all down with a smoothie or one of their amazing coffees – they use the finest coffee beans from Gusto Espresso so you know it’ll be good. You can even pick up hot bread throughout the day which is freshly baked all day, and can be sliced on-site or try some of their baked goodies while you’re there.
Paddington is onto a winner with the addition of Bake Bar. Delicious food, great coffee and friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Bake Bar is open seven days a week.
