Experience Enchanted Forest at Market City Shopping Centre this Christmas

Market City Shopping Centre is back in action and ready to give shoppers a magical treat this Christmas with the launch of the Enchanted Forest – an immersive, walk-through experience full of dazzling fairy-lit trees and picture perfect photo opps.

Transporting visitors away from the hustle and bustle, and providing an amazing backdrop for family photos or the perfect Instagram shot, this special Christmas installation is free for all to enjoy until 3 January and designed to surprise and delight.

Shoppers can follow the winding path to discover a golden Santa with his reindeers hidden amongst the trees, and look up to see a beautiful spectacle of reindeers flying from the sky above.

Ray Khoury, Market City Centre Manager, said: “Our unique festive installations are always a major drawcard and each year, we aim to create a truly magical and memorable experience. Following the challenges of COVID-19 lockdowns, we are thrilled to be throwing open our doors once again and celebrating in a big way, with our Enchanted Forest. As Haymarket and our retailers get back on their feet, we look forward to welcoming shoppers back for Christmas 2021!”

The latest in-centre activation marks an exciting temporary addition for Market City Shopping Centre, which is also the home to the ever-popular 1909 Dining Precinct on Level 3. In-house dining has returned for the cult fave restaurants which showcase a stellar line-up of deluxe Asian eateries, making the precinct the perfect spot to enjoy a meal after experiencing the elegant Enchanted Forest.

Featured restaurants include The Dolar Shop, a must-try Macanese hot pot restaurant, YAYOI Japanese Teishoku, serving up signature dishes including wagyu beef sukiyaki and unagi eel hitsumabushi, and Kogi Korean BBQ, showcasing a menu of marinated meats with banchan and soju. And not forgetting Fugetsu – one of our personal favourites – providing a contemporary sushi train restaurant experience, perfect for a quick lunch or fun dinner with friends.

After dinner, indulge your senses at the recently opened Tella Balls Dessert Bar, with enough sundaes, shakes and donuts on offer to satisfy the sweetest tooth. An extended range of food options are also available at Market City’s delectable food court on Level 1, right by the Enchanted Forest.

Open every day of the year until late, Market City Shopping Centre houses a vast range of leading retail brands, specialist stores, and the iconic Paddy’s Markets, making it not only the go-to destination for filling up Christmas stockings, but for hungry mouths too. You can also indulge in some self-care post-pandemic with a relaxing massage or mani/pedi, or if you’re wanting to load up on the fun, visit Timezone for bumper cars and arcade games, next door to the 1909 Dining Precinct.

For ultimate convenience, parking is easy at Market City Shopping Centre, with the Wilson Carpark providing undercover direct lift access to all levels. The centre is also easily accessible by public transport, including bus, light rail and train with Central and Town Hall station in close proximity.

Market City’s Enchanted Forest is located at Centre Court, Level 1, and will be FREE to visit until 3 January 2022. More info.
