Australian café success story, Jamaica Blue recently released its new Signature Harvest Collection. Celebrating the beauty of great food, the collection has been developed with a focus on natural, unprocessed and locally sourced produce.
Jamaica Blue’s Brand Manager, Drew Eide says he is proud of this initiative, bringing the Signature Harvest Collection to the ‘healthy’ table. “The inspiration was to get back to basics, creating simple natural food which is big on flavour,” he says. “All fresh ingredients are sourced locally to deliver real natural flavour, and prepared on-site in our cafés, every day.”
With a plant-based foundation, the menu has been developed in close consultation with, Food & Nutrition Australia to ensure all recipes are nutritionally balanced. “At Food & Nutrition Australia, we helped to develop a comprehensive set of criteria for the Signature Harvest Collection based on the latest scientific evidence around healthy eating guidelines to ensure that each dish delivered balanced health and nutritional benefits,” says Sharon Natoli, Director of Food & Nutrition Australia.
Weighing in on the menu is celebrity nutritionist and chef, Zoe Bingley-Pullin who officially launched the menu. As an advocate for whole foods and plant-based diets, she endorses the menu and praises Jamaica Blue for leading the charge in offering a new healthy range menu full of fresh fruit and vegetables.
“I travel regularly and eat out with my family and friends, I recognise how little choice there is for quick and healthy foods. So I have really enjoyed working with Jamaica Blue to launch their interesting, wholefood menu. With items like their nutrient dense Enrichment Bowls and delicious snacks like their Seed & Nut Bar, I love that this menu is light and fresh and full of goodness,” says Zoe.
According to Zoe, the Signature Harvest Collection taps into the latest food trend of plant-based eating; essentially a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds and legumes and lower in animal-based products especially red and processed meats.
