The heart of Sydney’s arts and entertainment precinct, Newtown, will be home to an experiential activation by Philips, showcasing Hue – a web-enabled LED personal wireless lighting system for the home – called #Huetown to demonstrate how lighting can change people’s experiences.
Situated at the Newtown bus interchange on Enmore Road, a bus shelter will be transformed into #Huetown – a dynamic, interactive light and sound experience that synchronises 24 Wi-Fi connected Hue globes with a selection of music styles.
Through an interactive panel display, #Huetown visitors, on the go or commuting home, can easily select their preferred music choice from six different genres representing some of Sydney’s landmarks and witness #Huetown create an immersive light and sound user experience that will delight and inspire
Local businesses are getting involved with the #Huetown activation such as King Street Theatre and they will be giving away Hue lighting kits so that patrons can experience Hue at home.
And, as a thank you to the Newtown community for use of the bus stop for the campaign, Philips will donate the Hue products used in the #Huetown activation valued at over $1,700 to a local community group.
