Disney Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs, where an Apatosaurus named Arlo must learn to confront his fears and discover how he will make his mark on the world.
The last to hatch and the smallest amongst his siblings, 11-year‐old Arlo is yet to make his mark on his family’s farm. Though he is eager to help out with chores, this sheltered Apatosaurus just can’t seem to get past his fear of everything. So when Arlo falls into a river and finds himself swept hundreds of miles away from home, he’s forced to take on his ultimate nemesis, nature.
Along the way, Arlo’s confidence grows as he encounters a host of unique and challenging personalities, but it is the friendship he builds with Spot that has the biggest impact of all. Spot is a wild, tough and tenacious human boy that has lived alone in the wilderness for much of his life. He communicates in grunts and growls, but his strengths are clear – he’s fearless, confident and ultimately, he is Arlo’s best chance at realising what he is fully capable of.
Regardless of their differences, the unique friendship and unexpected role reversal between Arlo and Spot gives the adventure an original edge that’s never been seen before. Directed by Peter Sohn (WALL-E, Finding Nemo, Up), the film features a mix of new voices, including Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale, The Hunger Games), Anna Paquin (True Blood) and introduces Raymond Orchoa as Arlo, and Jack Bright as Spot, to the world of Pixar.
