Greenwood’s Epic Snow Festival Returns to North Sydney
The Greenwood Hotel’s legendary Snow Festival is turning 10 – and to celebrate a decade of winter debauchery, they’re throwing an epic 10-day party!
From Friday 27 June – Sunday 6 July (2025), the North Sydney institution will be transformed into a winter wonderland, featuring 50 tonnes of real snow and a 20-metre toboggan slide!
Sydneysiders can expect an avalanche of events including an Aspen-themed launch party, poutine-fuelled Canada Day celebrations, DJ sets from Australian legends Groove Terminator, Tommy Trash, and John Course, plus winter night markets, Shania Twain line dancing, Mario Kart racing and more.
Snow Festival 2025 is proudly presented in partnership with Greenwood Plaza. Centre Manager Kelvin Fung shared: “Greenwood Plaza is incredibly excited to be bringing the thrilling experience of the snow slopes to North Sydney’s backyard. As the area’s best-known retail centre it has been great to partner with Greenwood Hotel and organise the Snow Festival to be an event that creates meaningful moments that sparks connection and excitement for the community.”
Just a short stroll – or a snowball’s throw – from North Sydney’s train and metro stations, this year’s festival brings peak après-ski vibes right to the city’s doorstep. Set in the iconic Greenwood Hotel – originally built in 1878 and reborn as pub in the ‘90s – the venue features everything from an indoor Chapel bar and lounge to lively open-air courtyards, perfect for cocktails, DJs, and dancing. Toboggan Slide | 27 June – 6 July
Slide into the season with snow-packed fun for the whole family. Running throughout the duration of the 10-day festival the Greenwood Hotel brings the snowfields to the city with a huge 20-metre toboggan slide! Whether you’re in it for the adrenaline or the LOLs, this snowy ride is one you won’t want to skip.
Winter Night Markets | 30 June – 4 July, from 4pm
The Greenwood Plaza Rooftop will come alive after-dark as the Winter Night Markets light up the night. Running across 5 consecutive evenings, from Monday 30 June – Friday 4 July, the markets will feature a curated lineup of local stalls offering fashion, art, homewares, and more. Indulge in Euro-inspired eats, sip on mulled wine and creative winter cocktails, and soak in the festive atmosphere with vibrant street food, live music, and late-night shopping.
Snow Fest Launch Party | Friday 27 June
Snow Fest 2025 kicks off with an unmissable Launch Party on Friday 27 June. Dress to impress and step into the Greenwood’s snow-covered playground. This year’s theme? One Night in Aspen – think après-ski glam meets chalet chic!
Canada Day Party | Saturday 28 June, 2pm – 1am
Sydney’s Biggest Canada Day Party Returns – Snow, Street Hockey, and a Trip to Canada Up for Grabs! The BIGGEST Canada Day party in Sydney is back and bigger than ever! On Saturday 28 June, the Greenwood, in partnership with Network Canada, is celebrating everything about the Great White North with 10+ hours of non-stop fun, music, games, food, prizes – and tonnes of real snow!
Expect over $25K in prizes and giveaways, including a return flight anywhere in Canada United Airlines flies, plus game shows, Canadian-themed trivia, and an all-day free street hockey tournament! Come for the Caesars and poutine, get stuck into a free game of street hockey and stay for the Canadian & RnB DJs!
Event highlights:
– Street Hockey Tournament (from 2-6pm). Free to play – register solo or as a team, with all gear supplied, plus $3K in prizes up for grabs!

Snow Fall | Sunday 29 June, from 1pm
As the temp drops, the dancefloor is about to get hot – Snow Fall is taking over the Greenwood on Sunday 29 June with an all-star lineup of Aussie DJ legends! Spanning 3 epic stages, Snow Fall is a celebration of the late ’90s and early ’00s – a soundtrack of timeless bangers and feel-good tracks.
Get ready for a massive throwback as Tommy Trash brings his electrifying energy, John Course lays down iconic house grooves, and Groove Terminator and Kid Kenobi keep the vibes high. Mark Dynamix returns with the anthems that defined a generation, while Rob Kay (Cabin Crew) and Discovery (Daft Punk Tribute) bring the ultimate nostalgia trip. Early bird tickets from $50 here.
Shania Twain Line Dancing | Tuesday 1 July, 6:30pm
“Let’s go, girls” – this years’ Snow Fest is giving Greenwood’s usual Tuesday line dancing class a Canada Day twist! On Tuesday 1 July, the North Sydney pub is cranking up the country charm with a LIVE Shania Twain tribute band for a boot-scootin’ celebration like no other.
Rally the crew, dust off those boots and get ready to dance the night away to iconic hits like “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much”.
