Vino Paradiso Returns

Vino Paradiso Returns

After a successful inaugural year, Vino Paradiso will this year relocate to The Rocks, a truly iconic venue framed by the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. From 6th – 8th November, the festival will host 80,000+ visitors and 130 food, wine, beer and cider stalls from regions across Australia, transforming The Rocks into a food, beverage and lifestyle paradise.

The event is themed by region, providing festival goers with the exclusive opportunity to tour 30 of Australia’s most iconic wine regions, including Margaret River, the Barossa and the Hunter Valley, all in one spectacular location. Guests are invited to follow the laneways along historic cobblestones, through sunny market stalls and around shady corners for a tasting journey of wonder and discovery.

Matthew Williams, Director of Vino Paradiso, is thrilled about the new location:

“In the past 12 months, The Rocks has had over 14 million visitors. It is a globally recognised precinct, renowned for quality food and beverages that offer visitors an unrivalled blend of the old and the new, making it the ideal location for Vino Paradiso 2015.

“We’re excited to once again open up a world of the finest providores and artisans, showcasing the best of Australia’s food and wine regions on the edge of the breathtaking Sydney Harbour,” said Williams.

Visitors will experience a maze of the world’s best labels and brands, including Peter Lehmann Wines, Audrey Wilkinson, Howard Park, Pipers Brook, Hope Estate, Eden Road, Hunter Valley Cheese Factory and The Bundaberg Distillatorium.

Festival highlights include The Great Wall of Wine, a visually striking treasury of the fabulous wines on offer; Grape Crushing, a feet tingling experience taking place in giant, purpose-built oak barrels; as well as Wine & Food Masterclasses, which provide visitors with the ability to master various aspects of wine, beer, cider, spirits and of course food.

Across this three-day celebration, festival goers will enter a magical world of music, art and interactive happenings including innovative installations, ambient music collaborations and visual artistry.
