Paris Jackson’s Troubles
It has been revealed recently that Paris Jackson asked for emancipation from her family before her alleged suicide attempt. It is thought that Michael Jackson’s 15 year old daughter said she wanted to break free from her famous family and take control of her own life. A source close to the teen said that Paris had suffered depression ‘for some time’ and felt unloved following the death of her father in June 2009. Katherine Jackson (now 83) currently shares guardianship of Paris and her brothers, Prince Michael and Blanket with the children’s uncle TJ Jackson.
US columnist Roger Friedman, who has strong sources close to the Jackson family said that if Paris had been given emancipation, the court action would have given her control over her own life before legally becoming an adult. He also claimed that Paris’ mother and Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe could seek legal custody of her daughter and thus removing her from the Jackson family compound in Calabasas. A family insider was quoted saying, “She’s a handful for the Jacksons. They don’t know what to do. Paris suffers from depression, she’s lonely, she thinks no one loves her or is listening to her. She doesn’t want to be controlled or told what to do.”
To add fuel to this fire, Mark Lester who is Paris’s godfather said “I’m sure when Paris hits 16 she will take herself out of the Jackson clan, walk out the door and never turn back. She will never go back. I’m glad she has Debbie Rowe in her life.” Another family source has claimed that it was ‘not the first time’ Paris had attempted to take her own life. One can’t help but feel with all these outside influences trying to control the Jackson kids lives it’s no wonder the troubled kids are finding things difficult. Especially for a 15 year old girl, I’m sure we all wish her a speedy recovery and I suppose happiness at last.
