Beyonce’s Diva Demands
There’s no denying that Beyonce has a bit of a reputation for being a diva, and the singer truly lived up to the name when she arrived in London by private helicopter for her “Mrs. Carter Show” tour. Not only did the star arrive in private style, she also demanded the biggest dressing rooms in the O2 Arena. According to the Evening Standard, the enormous rooms have been kitted out especially for the star, when they are normally reserved for entire sports teams. Beyonce is the first performer to be offered the use of the newly refurbished rooms but she wanted to use the bigger ones which are located in a quieter part of the arena. A source has said, “The new dressing rooms are superb — it’s like you’ve stepped into a luxury apartment. But she surprised everyone by turning them down, going for the larger ones that are used by sports teams when they play at the 02.” The rooms in question are in fact much bigger obviously and she was given free rein to refurbish them to her own personal taste. “They’re also in a quieter part of the backstage area, which gives her a better atmosphere to get focused for her shows,” the source adds. She has reportedly brought her own curtains, sofas and rugs to make herself feel more at home despite only being there for a few nights.
Despite her over the top behavior, the ‘Single Ladies’ singer was said to have truly rocked the arena as fans and bloggers flooded Twitter with pictures and comments, however, the star has imposed an explicit ban on unapproved photographers. The photo censure follows the headlines that the 31-year-old is travelling the world with her own photographer in tow. Her choice to control her media coverage comes after it was widely reported back in February that the singer’s publicist had asked agencies or websites to remove ‘unflattering’ photos of the star during her energetic performance at the Super Bowl. Something tells me we’re in for a fun time with Blue Ivy, because we already know the baby has the best of the best, so it won’t be long before she has fully morphed into a mini Beyonce.
