Bottega Coco Launches Fresh New Spring Menu
Barangaroo’s all-day Italian restaurant and patisserie, Bottega Coco, has just launched its delicious new Spring menu.
Since opening in 2023, Bottega Coco has been captivating the taste buds of Sydney’s food lovers and connoisseurs promising an unforgettable experience where culinary excellence and sustainability intertwine
As a climate-conscious business, the restaurant strives to minimise its environmental impact at every step. From exclusively using sustainable ingredients and produce to implementing innovative vertical farming practices, Bottega Coco ensures a healthy, ethical, and transparent food supply for its guests.
Heading the kitchen is Executive Chef Dario Nencioni with a specialisation in Italian fine dining. Hailing from Siena, a city in central Italy’s Tuscany region, he relocated to Australia in 2015 and has left an indelible mark on the Australian dining scene, working alongside renowned chefs such as Alessandro Pavoni.
Chef Nencioni’s impressive tenure includes serving as Executive Chef at the Commissary by Ormeggio in Mosman and he’s also lent his expertise to Pavoni’s esteemed establishments (Via Alta, Ormeggio, Chiosco) and has graced the kitchens of acclaimed fine dining destinations such as Aqua Dining and LuMi Dining.
Chef Nencioni is poised to elevate the dining experience at Bottega Coco, infusing his signature style and Italian heritage into every dish. Starter highlights on the new menu include some Freshly Shucked Sydney Rock Oysters, Anchovies Bruschetta, the delicious Crudo Di Tonno (Fresh Yellowfin Tuna) and the completely mouth-watering Burratta topped with cherry syrup, yuzu gel, mint and hazelnut for added crunch! Outstanding!
Throughout the new menu, Chef Nencioni has skillfully incorporated a variety of native ingredients, including Australian saltbush, known for its high antioxidant content and numerous health benefits, with Italian favourites. Saltbush is skillfully used to add a distinct, earthy flavour, apparent in one of Nencioni’s signature dishes, the Pescato Del Giorno—a 200g wild-caught fresh fish of the day seasoned with pickled beetroot, charcoal-grilled celeriac, saltbush, and fish jus. For meat lovers, the Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, a 1kg T-bone steak seared in rosemary oil topped with salsa verde, is perfect for sharing.
Other options include the Pollo Alla Cacciatora (free-range chicken breast), Ossobuco (braised veal shank), Tagliata Di Manzo (200g MB9+ Blackmore wagyu tri tip) and Anatra Confit (crispy confit duck) but if you’d rather stick to hearty Italian classics, then the Spaghetti Con Gambleri is our top pick. Topped with marinated prawns, chilli, garlic, prawn bisque, stracciatella and chives, it’s a ridiculously delectable combination that will absolutely have you going back for seconds.
The pizza menu here is also guaranteed to satisfy. Highlights include the Regina, Capricciosa, Diavola, Pesto E Funghi and the incredibly tasty Gamberetti Zucchine featuring paradise prawns, zucchini, cherry tomato, garlic and basil. Pizza just doesn’t get much better than this. Delizioso!
Wash it all down with something from their extensive drinks menu. With a plethora of cocktails, beers, wines, gins, coffees and a whole lot more to choose from, you simply cannot go wrong.
Bottega Coco’s new menu celebrates the rich flavours and traditions of Italy whilst embracing the vibrant culinary landscape of Sydney. Check it out any day of the week for breakfast, lunch or dinner from 7am till late.
