BUSTAMENTO: Intercontinental Journal 7

Nicky Bomba has once again rallied his musical cohorts and produced a fresh sounding album, ‘Intercontinental Journey 7’ , that lifts off beautifully from their last highly acclaimed excursion.

BUSTAMENTO is one of the multiple side projects from Nicky Bomba, one of Australia’s busiest and most highly respected musicians. They are a tropical shaking six piece that pay homage to the upbeat rhythms of the Caribbean, covering the Calypso, Mento, Early Reggae and Ska styles.

After spending the last two years performing around the globe, BUSTAMENTO have returned to musical shores with a great collection of songs capturing the international flavour of their intrepid travels. An exciting departure from the Carribbean based style of their ARIA-Nominated first album (Intrepid Adventures to the Lost Riddim Islands) , the new release shows the band flexing its creative muscle.

“The last couple of years has seen a great enthusiasm for our style of music, and it seemed like a natural progression to step everything up heading into 2015”, said Nicky Bomba.

A collection of eleven original songs penned by the band and co-produced by Robin Mai (John Butler, Augie March, Blue King Brown) ‘Intercontinental Journal 7’ is a musical mission on a round-the-world adventure of fun and games.
