Cake Bake & Sweets Show
New baking talent has been added to the event line-up for the inaugural Cake Bake & Sweets Show taking place on the 21-23rd March 2014. Expected to be one of the largest gatherings of celebrity chef’s, bakers and cake artists in the southern hemisphere. The event will host the likes of master patissier extraordinaire Adriano Zumbo, US cake decorating genius, Duff Goldman and British Pâtissier of the Year, Eric Lanlard.
Flying from all points of the globe, US based Pick Your Poison Girls, stars of Cupcake Wars on Foxtel’s LifeStyle FOOD Channel, will be serving up some alcohol infused cupcakes. Great Australian Bake Off judge Dan Lepard will deliver a culinary crash course in achieving the Great Australian Meat Pie. To finish off the multi-cultural line-up, The Caketress, Canadian Lori Hutchinson, will whip out her awe-inspiring cake decorating skills, and Malaysia’s cake figurine specialist, Sheryl Bito, will deliver the icing on the cake.
The three-day event boasts an impressive host of local Australian baking talent including Nancy Ho, Great Australian Bake Off Winner 2013, Kylie Millar, Masterchef Contestant, Rocco LaBella, My Kitchen Rules runners up, Julia Taylor, 2012 Masterchef Contestant runner up, Maria Vella, Great Australian Bake Off finalist, Monique Bowley, Great Australian Bake Off and Kristen Tibballs, Head Chef at Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School and Guest judge of MasterChef.
Take a trip to the Delicious Kitchen by KitchenAid to see celebrity bakers create heavenly desserts; sweet treats and tantalising baked goods. Watch live demos as internationally recognised artisan bakers and chefs share their tips on making all things sweet and savoury at the Bakery Theatre by Devondale. Take notes at a wide range of free 30-minute classroom demos from expert bakers, pastry chefs and cake decorators in a more focused intimate setting.
Guests can visit the Cake Decorating Theatre to witness top cake decorators and sugarcrafters demonstrating different methods and techniques for mastering the art of cake decorating.
