Four Kitchens
Already well known in the Sydney food scene as co-owner of the acclaimed restaurants Four in Hand and 4Fourteen, last year the rest of Australia was introduced to controversial Irish chef Colin Fassnidge, thanks to his role as guest judge on My Kitchen Rules.
Colin has gone from strength to strength, recently winning GQ’s Chef of the Year in 2013, and releasing his first cookbook. Four Kitchens draws inspiration from the four kitchens in his life – the two restaurant kitchens, the home kitchen, and the outdoor kitchen. Drawing on diverse culinary influences to illustrate his love of food, each page reveals some of his key food philosophies: using local produce, wasting as little as possible through nose-to-tail eating (for which he is famous), handling everything with a light touch, and food he loves to cook at home for his family. His aim is to provide people with a memorable, enjoyable experience; exactly why he entered the world of cooking in the first place.
Containing a range of recipes from basic to advanced, Four Kitchens is perfect for those who want to put dinner on the table through to those looking for a conversation-starter at a dinner party. From entrees to mains, meats to fish, light bites to desserts, there is something for everyone in this inspiring, mouth-watering collection of more than 100 recipes.
Four Kitchens is a testament to the enduring connection between food and family, as well as the relationship between a chef and his demanding public.
Four Kitchens is available now (Published by Ebury Illustrated).
