In her debut cookbook Judy Phillips creates simple, healthy and delicious recipes for today’s health conscious lifestyle.
Judy, a cooking teacher, mother of five and fitness fanatic, created Good Life Great Food: Recipes for Loving and Sharing to help make cooking healthy, nutritious meals easy, every day of the week. The book is inspired by Judy’s love of family, food, entertaining and travel.
Judy shares recipes handed down from her Hungarian grandmother, favourites from her cooking classes and delicious, seasonal dishes designed to share with loved ones. Her influences range from her Eastern European background as well as flavours from the Middle East, Japan and the Mediterranean to create recipes that are easy to prepare and don’t require long lists of complicated ingredients.
Recipes include a Mixed Mushroom Risotto that cuts down on the carbs, Roast Chicken with Tangerine and Ouzo, a North African Hot Fish Stew and a warming Osso Buco. Some favourites from Judy’s classes include Smoked Trout and Beetroot Salad, Roasted Cauliflower and Eggplant Salad and her Rosh Hashanah Honey Cake.
