La Cantina, St Leonards
La Cantina has just opened its doors in St Leonards. Boasting a superb ala carte modern Australian menu and exceptional coffee from Will & Co, the stylish café provides the ideal setting to enjoy breakfast/brunch and lunch in an enjoyable and buzzing atmosphere.
At the entrance to the beautiful venue is a stunning brass coffee counter showcasing delicious fresh pastries and gourmet breads. The café consists of indoor and outdoor seating with warm and inviting interiors such as the timber and white Danish furniture, contemporary globe pendants and overgrown plants suspended from the ceiling.
Catering to fans of sweet and savoury alike, the healthy menu has a fantastic variety of modern Australian dishes. On our visit, we sampled the delectable salmon avocado stack. It comprised of two lightly poached free range eggs on a bed of smashed avocado and fetta, smoked tasmanian salmon, mint and lemon on rye sourdough. Not only was it delicious but it was also highly satisfying on the stomach.
Other dishes on the menu include the bircher muesli bowl with oats, grains, nuts, fresh and dried fruits, thinly slice apple and the slithers and yoghurt, the sweetcorn and zucchini fritters, delicious burgers with battered chips, an array of gourmet pizzas, a selection of authentic pasta’s and tasty paninis as well as fresh salads, a superb kids menu and many gluten free options. The coffee is also to die for!
La Cantina is one of the hottest new cafe’s on Sydney’s north shore and is open Monday to Thursday (6am – 5pm), Friday (6am – 4pm), and Saturday (7am – 3pm).
